A Brief Intro
Hey there! I'm Joshua Meister, but my friends call me Josh. I'm an Art Director and Graphic Designer with eight years experience in creative for print and digital. I specialize in working in entertainment and hospitality, working with large brands to creative unforgettable experiences.
My journey kicked off at the University of Central Florida, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Emerging Media Management, majoring in Graphic Design and minoring in Digital Media. While attending university I got my start as graphic designer, working for the university as well as local businesses. Upon graduating, I moved to Atlanta where I started my internship with Cartoon Network.
Post-internship I moved to Miami, joining Swarm, a live events production agency. I then shifted gears to hospitality, crafting top-notch creative for Groot Hospitality’s array of world-famous venues and restaurants. My path led me to Loud And Live, where I climbed the ladder from Graphic Designer to Art Director. In that time I produced work for multiple world tours and music festivals, worked with brands like McDonald's, Walmart, Amazon, Apple, Zelle, New Balance, and Royal Caribbean; and even had my work published in Billboard Magazine.
I thrive on producing innovative, original creative that elevates the brands I work with. Whether for digital, print, or interactive experiences. I do it all.
My Inspiration
Music and art are at the heart of who I am. My love for design was inspired by the vibrant art of album covers, music videos, and rave flyers, inspiring me to pursue a degree in Graphic Design. In 2013 I attended my first music festival, and fell in love. I have now attended over 50 major festivals around the country and the world, continuing to draw inspiration and fuel my passion.
What I offer
I bring a versatile skill set to the table, encompassing art direction, graphic design, photography, web design, product design. My experience spans working with high-profile brands across diverse industries, from entertainment and hospitality to corporate and tech sectors. I think outside the box creatively and avoid getting stuck on a single style, ensuring each project is unique and bespoke to fit its specific needs. I’ve directed projects for major festivals, world tours, fortune 500 companies, and more, ensuring each creative is both visually striking and functionally sound.
I'm always eager to learn and grow. Over the years, I've taken numerous design courses and reignited my passion for product and web design through Coursera's Google UX courses. I also expanded my technical skills with coding classes from Harvard Online and delved into web design to enhance my offerings. Additionally, I regularly attend AIGA meetings and have completed courses with General Assembly. Staying updated and continuously improving is a core part of my professional journey.
